NEXT!

Just finished my first moleskin and the majority of it is actually filled with location sketching.  I'm going to be posting a few select pages here and there.  The top page is the earliest of these three.  Probably done a month or two ago.  The middle page was probably done about a week ago.  This last page was done a few days ago.  Just wanted to show some of the other crap that comes out of my head.

I never put too much stock in location sketching but now that i have been doing a lot of it i have realized how much it helps.  I'm a lot faster and more confident with my lines.  It also helps tremendously in building up your visual vocabulary.  I guess everyone was right after all.  Let me know what you think!

Dude congrats on finishing up the sketchbook! Is this one a pocket version of the bigger one?? Man I can't seem to finish a book off. I'm always jumping back and forth to different papers. Really love all different variety's of work and mediums used. Very inspirational work Justin. I need to go and get out and do more observational studies. Look forward to your next completed sketchbook.

Very good, i'm trying to do 2 sketches a week, but it's hard to find time. I like your lines very much.(Sorry for my English).

Coolbeans. I'd may be down for some cafe sketching or whatever. Also, looking forward to seeing some of your location sketching posts as well.

simon: thanks as always man!

Pablo: Thanks a lot! I feel very accomplished with this one. I as well never actually finish a sketchbook and most of this is observational which i set out to do from the get go. Thank you so much for the kind words.

Denny: Thank you so much.

Lincoln: actually did this from an action figure on my desk at work. Glad you dig it.

Sandra: Thanks for popping back by! i think the girl is one of my faves as well. Thanks for the kind words.

Wayne: Thanks man. I actually try and end my lunch with a memory sketch. Never turn out as well though i feel.

Chris: i'll let you know if we get together. Thanks for the comment as always!
