I totally know what you mean. In my own work, i've been trying the same looseness. A good source of inspiration is this video I recently saw that completely changed my mind about art in general.
I agree! Sometimes not giving an f- is all we need to get something started or allow ourselves to actually tap into our own originality. Whatever that goblin/troll looking thing is, keep going!
