finally putting up some stuff from the gesture drawing class with Mark Mcdonnell.  I can't beleive how much i have grown after only four weeks. 

These are three minute poses after week three.

Art Party at Earth-2 Comics Northridge!

As you may or may not know I manage a comic shop called Earth-2 comics in Sherman Oaks. Well we will be throwing and awesome "art party" Friday, November 6th from 6-9 at the other location in Northridge.

Billy Martinez who is an amazing artist will be doing a class from 6-7 on how to draw dynamic facial expressions. From 7-9 he will be doing a live art demonstration as well as signing his new book "The works". So come hang out with us eat some food and talk art.

The shop will of course be open for any purchases the entire time. We have a great selection of artbooks available including both Jose Lopez's books "4:00am" and "Mariachi Samurai". Mark Mcdonnell's AMAZING book "the Art and feel of Making it Real" and Sean "Cheeks" Galloway's "Cheeks Unclenched" and "Spread the Cheeks" as well as many, many more!
